I came from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. It is known as “the land of happiness”. After I graduated from University with a master’s in Business I decided to travel abroad to improve my English. I came to Maine on a work-study exchange program and while here I met my wife.

Now I am a proud father of a beautiful baby girl, Eva. She was born in October 2006 and if you have had the pleasure of seeing her at the gym or on the mats you can see why she is the light of my life.

I started at Gold’s as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor doing something I love and having fun doing it. When the opportunity came to get my certification as a personal trainer I realized a life long goal. It was a perfect combination; Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor and Personal Trainer.

I love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! I especially love helping people achieve their goals. And you can tell that I love my job by the smile on my face. People often comment that I am happy all the time and I am always smiling. That’s because I love what I do and I hope that my love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is contagious just like my smile.
